Virtual Makeover

Hey

In an ideal world, I'd be able to wake up, pick up a dress, pants, whatever, put it on, shake my hair, get some lip gloss and call it a day. And be fabulous all at the same time. Now while this isn't my world, we can come close with a little preparation, and some staple and quirky pieces.

So here we go. First things first ----Tights!!! Yes hun, tights, stocking, hosiery, please step into this world if you haven't already.

Now lets take a step back. Whats the difference between tights and stockings??  Tights are probably what you think they are, and also what you think stockings are. Tights are those thinner layer, form fitting, skin clinching garments that cover you from your feet up to your hips/ waist/ etc... Tights come in all sorts of textures, thickness, sheerness, patterns etc...the world really is yours. Check out the tights below...

Tights are an awesome inexpensive fabulous way to juj up your look. I'd say, have a few staple pieces. At least 5 Black tights. One or two that are sheer, a basic black tight with no patterns, another with a Lace design to your taste similar to the model above. Venture towards those sweater textured tights as well. So what am I saying. Get yourself 5 pairs of black tights minimally. That range from casual to dressy. Check out TJ max. I hear they cater to a range of women (skinny minis to curvy divas), and are totally inexpensive. 

Next lets talk about scarves, because you all know I'm obsessed with those...

Janet

Hmm.

Hey guys, I usually don't do reviews on hair extensions. But I had to. So the current style I have, was achieved with Janet King Yaky hair. I love the texture of the hair. It looks pretty natural. But I hate this hair, lol. This hair can not be washed. If so, get ready to have dreds.

I finally washed my hair after x number of ...

I'd been dreading washing my hair. This is my second time around with this particular brand. The first time, I got the same results after washing it. But I gave it a second chance, which is now my last chance. So after I washed and conditioned my hair, I spent the next 5 hours detangling. Now mind you, I wrap my hair each night and wear a head tie or scarf to maintain the moisture and style of the hair. But after a while the hair just gets matted. So this is a HELL NO.

Dirty Thirty

Hey... I will be 30, in a little less then a year and a half. I know I'm counting my chickens before they hatch, but God willing. I've had an awesome 28 years. I've learned things, still learning, and will continue to learn...

So I want to document my journey to thirty (LMAO, corny I know, the phrase that is). Rather then doing that whole, well I'm thirty here's what I've learned, I want to take you along with me. On another note, Holy Moley! Have you guys checked out Taylor Swift. Firstly I am not a fan of this Chic. But I am loving this new look. Vogue got it so RIGHT. She needs to bottle up this look, and sell it to the highest bidder, because I'm buying it. I love how her eyes just pop, with the contrasting Mascara.

Her look has a familiar vintage feel. By Vintage I mean 90's, which isn't vintage, but you get what I mean. It just looks so familiar I can't pinpoint who I see in her right now. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the spread. I skimmed through Vogue, and enjoyed the experience, but really have to sit and read it 3 to 4 times, to see if I really love it.

Golden Globes

Hey Guys,

So, just finished watching the aftermath of the Golden Globes. I LOVED 2 looks. Charlize Theron (God I love Her) and Angelina Jolie. I think these were the 2 best looks of the night, followed by Sofia Vergara.

Blitz the Ambassador

Fresh.

2 hours sleep, 8 hour photoshoot, photo gig from 7- 11pm. Blitz.  12 am the following day, super hype, just had the Blitz experience. After that, who the f@*k can go to sleep. I wanted to continue to live in that world, that he had created through his performance. INSANE. The Blitz experience. Check him out if you haven't yet!

Nomadic Massive

So, I was invited to an event by face2faceafrica, as the photographer. I hoped on it ASAP. I've been to a couple of events hosted and or endorsed by this organization and have had a phenomenal experience each time. So this time around, I was invited to the Blitz concert. Blitz the Ambassador, is so New post worthy, here you go,  Blitz Ambassador, lol. In the mean time, Blitz had possibly 4-5 bands opening for him. Holy Shit. I have never been to such a performance period. Besides Blitz, Nomadic Massive was INSANE. Totally the band you need to hype the crowd, get you loose, and have you feeling like the show is over because they have DESTROYED it.

Check them out, Nomadic Massive. They are a Canadian based group from Montreal, composed of 5 sick twisted MC's with an African Caribbean feel. Totally dynamic.

Hey guys, so I mentioned that I had a couple of Campaigns coming up. YES. So we met up, a model, make up artist, and Co photographer and went crazy. I'd say from 7:15M to 5PM, then another photo gig at 6:30pm. It was a busy weekend. But I wouldn't change anything about that day. Enjoy.
